Sensor Layer

Sensor modules at the integration-preparation stage.

Capability

The Sensor Layer brings sensors, cameras, thermal imaging modules, and other primary data sources together within a mobile-platform architecture.

The Sensor Layer is the basis for Driver Vision Enhancement (DVE), situational awareness, and integrated video monitoring. It is not a device catalogue: sensor composition and placement are defined by the operational task and platform constraints.

Integration context

The Sensor Layer works with Video Distribution Architecture, the Integration Interface, Passive Acoustic Situational Awareness, Platform Adaptation Hardware, displays, power, and service infrastructure.

Platform requirements

Sensor placement considers required viewing zones, platform geometry, external structures, cable routes, crew work, and maintenance access.
