Capability
DVE (Driver Vision Enhancement) is an integrated subsystem that supports driver work when standard visibility is limited, at night, in smoke, dust, or precipitation.
DVE covers more than a camera. The configuration combines sensors, displays, video architecture, power, mounting solutions, and service access according to the task and platform constraints.
Integration context
- The Sensor Layer provides primary data.
- Video Distribution Architecture transmits and displays video streams.
- The Integration Interface defines platform connections.
- Platform Adaptation Hardware provides physical installation.
- Passive Acoustic Situational Awareness can complement situational awareness with event and direction data; it does not replace DVE.
Platform application
Integration considers platform geometry, visibility, sensor and display locations, power, cable routes, crew work, and service access.
